I’ve been testing & reviewing some new low carb products this week. Some I think you’ll LOVE and some I’m still researching. 😉
Also while planning my trip and booking my flight & hotel for the KetoCon conference in Austin, TX in a few weeks… I’ve been checking out some of the speakers (and their new low carb cookbooks), keto companies and low carb products that will be featured there.
* Note: the coupon code for KetoCon is “ketocon2018” if you’re interested in attending in person or from home.
Behind-the-Scenes Scoop:
Keto Product News & Updates
There are so many new things popping up and old things shaking up that it’s making my head spin! I’ll share what I know, and what I think of it all.
I’d love to hear YOUR thoughts on it all too, because an open and candid discussion of our feedback & opinions will be helpful for everyone. 😉
This rundown of updates should answer a lot of questions people have been asking lately too!
ChocZero: Dipping Cups Are Back!
But Syrups Are Disappearing…
The ChocZero Dipping Cups were insanely popular, but they’ve been out of stock for months on end now. Good News! The Milk Chocolate Dipping Cups are back in stock – as of today. 🙂
Our coupon code at ChocZero is TravelingLowCarb
They did away with the original tubes for the dipping cups in favor of better packaging & less shipping issues. That plus their Keto Bark products taking off like crazy on Amazon is what caused the delay on bringing the dipping cups back.
The milk chocolate cups are currently only available on their website, and they’re on sale right now:
The white & dark chocolate cups should be back in stock soon now too.
See my FUN dipping cup recipes & ideas here!
I’ve heard rumor (from a VERY reliable source!) that ChocZero is coming out with new products this year, both of which I can’t wait to try – and I think we’ll all LOVE.
But they’re also doing away with some products like the Blueberry, Pumpkin Pie, Peppermint & Raspberry sugar free syrups.
They’ll keep the chocolate and maple syrups for sure I know, plus vanilla & caramel, but if you want any of the other flavors…
You’ll want to grab them while you can! 😉
Our coupon code at ChocZero is TravelingLowCarb
Or you can find some of the ChocoZero Products on Amazon and a few also on Netrition but the coupon code will only work on their website.
Keto Kookie Rebranded and Changed… Everything!
This one really caught me by surprise. 😯
Keto Kookie changed their name, their look, their packaging… and even their recipes & macros! In fact, when they sent me a box to check it all out – I didn’t even recognize it as being from them:
Everything redirects to their new site at Nui and our coupon code still works there. Use code LOWCARBTRAVELER for our special discount.
This explains why they were sold out site-wide for awhile. 😉
What does NUI mean?!
That’s my question. It has different meanings depending on the language – but in my field, it’s a tech term for Natural User Interface (NUI)… ??
I find it curious that a brand would get SO well established in the keto market, and then totally change everything from their name to their color scheme and packaging.
The official word is that they want to appeal to a broader audience, but I don’t know many people that eat “high fat” other than people on a keto diet.;)
The Ingredients & Macros Changed Too…
I am happy to report that the Peanut Butter Keto Kookie – sorry, the PB NUI! – is still the same buttery soft, crumbly peanut butter cookie I was so in love with. 🙂
They are half (.5) a carb more than they used to be, so 4 net carbs for 2 cookies instead of 3 net carbs for 2 cookies.
But the taste & texture didn’t seem to change at all!
The Snickerdoodle Nui (this is going to be HARD to get used to, lol) is actually LOWER in carbs, at just one net carb for TWO cookies.
It also tastes much better with less aftertaste, so definitely an improvement! 🙂
Everything redirects to their new site at Nui and our coupon code still works there. Use code LOWCARBTRAVELER for our special discount.
I still have to try the chocolate chip and double chocolate flavors, and I’m hoping those also have less aftertaste / tingle than before. I’ll keep you posted. 😉
I don’t generally snack or “just eat cookies” so I tend to make a MEAL out of these…
A decadently delicious one, of course!
Ketologie Sampler Shake Packs, and…
A new Exogenous Ketone Supplement?
In more interesting keto news… Ketologie recently released their brand new Ketones + Probiotics Pineapple Drink, an exogenous ketone supplement.
Dr. Tracy sent me a full-sized container of this new Pineapple drink/product to try out, but I admit I’ve been a little scared to try it. 🙂
I’ve been asking her some questions about it, and I’m ready to give it a try now, so stay tuned for what it does and why she created it – and what I think of it. 😉
Note: the Keto Shake Sampler Packs are still not available, but they should be soon. They were at least 4-6 more weeks out restocking the last time I talked to her about those, waiting on new packaging.
The individual shake packets are GREAT for shakes on-the-go! 😉
More News & Updates…
I’m happy (!!) to report that Northside Shoes sent me a brand new pair of the Northside Burke II summer hiking shoes I love so much – to replace the last pair that blew out on me.
That was super nice. 🙂
I’m about to take these for their first spin – in the mud. 🙂
I mentioned trying out some new products this week. One of those was a brand new flavor of Keto Bars they just released – a Peanut Butter Keto Bar.
It’s very much like the original in texture – like a chewy Mounds bar – with much less aftertaste. It was kinda salty actually, and I’m still on the fence whether I like it or not.
They’re well sealed packages and don’t melt in the heat, so they’re great for keeping in my pack for long hikes – even in the summer. Aaron and I both agreed they’re definitely a good “trail fuel” snack/meal but we weren’t necessarily blown away by them or anything.
I mentioned in my last post that the Keto Brownie Protein Bar I LOVE SO MUCH is not being made anymore. *pout* That said, I did get to try their two NEW products – a Keto Brownie and Keto Blondie – and they are both amazingly delicious!! Super chewy, perfect texture, scary delicious. 🙂
They are higher in net carbs than I normally recommend though. Stay tuned for a full review once I do “clean keto testing” on them!

I just purchased the Nui Peanut Butter cookies, I can’t wait to try them! Thank you for the discount code! π

You’ll LOVE them, Becki. π I think I’ll try the chocolate chip or double chocolate today. I’m anxious to see if they’ve improved as much as the Snickerdoodle! Their peanut butter cookie is my all time favorite though – it’s been the BEST since they released it earlier this year… Enjoy! π
