I didn’t end up making the low carb pasta I mentioned in my last food diary. I opted for take-out instead, like I said I might -lol.
But I did try 3 new low carb foods this week!
Two of them I loved, one I did NOT. 😛
Here’s what I ate on Wednesday and Thursday, what I thought of it, and my MyFitnessPal diaries so you can see how I logged my meals…
My Low Carb Meals on Wednesday
I had a Cinnamon Low Carb Cookie for breakfast, warmed up and topped with cream cheese.
Tip: If you warm cream cheese up for a few seconds, it gets fluffy & creamy! 🙂
I love these cookies for a quick & easy (healthy!) meal replacement because they have perfect LCHF Macros, they’re made with real foods, they have NO sugar alcohol, they are HUGE and right at 400 calories – and they’re very filling.
The KNOW Cookies come in 4 flavors. I only get Cinnamon, Chocolate Chip & Double Chocolate (which is like a thick, fudgy brownie).
As you can see, they are the size of my whole hand – and very thick!
In my last order I also decided to try the Know Thins, which are low carb crackers. All of their foods are gluten free too, by the way.
I had one Low Carb Wrap left from the same company too, so I made up a quick tuna salad with plain tuna and 2 TBSP of Creamy Spinach Dip – because I was out of mayo. 😉
I knew the wrap would make an easy, filling low carb lunch – but I wanted to try a serving the new Thins too.
My favorite way to make the wraps is to either fry them in butter, or toast them in oven with shredded cheddar. I went with the latter this time, and as you can see (below) I measured out the dip for the tuna salad, and weighed the cheese on my handy little Ozeri Kitchen Scale.
Weighing & measuring is important for proper macro tracking!;)
Toasting the wrap in the oven at 350 until the cheese is melted makes it more firm and less flimsy, plus a cheddar lined wrap just tastes really good. 🙂
I stuffed that with about half the tuna salad and ate it like a “tuna taco” or low carb sandwich. 🙂
Next I decided to try the Know Foods Thins, which were actually interesting and impressive! It can be REALLY hard to find a decent low carb cracker. 😛
My first impression: they’re like a cross between pringles and wheat thins. A nice crisp crunch! Some people described them as savory, I thought they were slightly sweet.
It turns out the taste depends on what you pair them with!
I love LOVE love these low carb crackers, and since they aren’t really “seasoned” I’m going to try making a low carb cookie/candy with them. 🙂
Stay tuned for that fun, creative recipe idea!;)
For dinner I ate the Real Good Food Low Carb Pizza, because I was sent a couple to review – so I wanted to try it out. Everyone has been asking my opinion so I was anxious to review them.
I did NOT like it. I’ll share all the reasons why in my review (watch for that post next!), and also tell you what I would recommend instead. Because it’s not this. 😉
The third new thing I tried was a ChocZero Candy that I made with whole salted almonds. The combination of salted almonds and dark chocolate was amazingly delicious!! 🙂
ChocZero Dipping Cups are SO much fun. 🙂 I actually made this almond candy on a recent road trip, and totally forgot about it – so it was a fun find in my freezer, and a great treat. It was HUGE too so I only ate half of it.
You can see ALL of my fun ChocZero Creations here…
The raspberry & white chocolate combo is MY fave!
My MyFitnessPal Food Diary for Wednesday:
Trying the Real Good Pizza screwed up my macros because it was too many carbs, and higher protein / lower fat. 😛 Like I said, I’ll give you a detailed review in my next post…
My Low Carb Meals on Thursday
After trying all of those new low carb foods on Wednesday, because people have been asking me about the Pizzas and the Thins, I decided to keep it simple on Thursday. 🙂
For breakfast I made a bowl of “low carb cereal” with 30 grams of raw pecan halves, 1/4 cup of Daisy brand cottage cheese, 3 servings (75 grams) of Chunky Musli mix, and 4 strawberries:
I didn’t have a huge appetite on Thursday, so I made two meals out of that breakfast, then made two meals out of my lunch/dinner too – which was delivery. 🙂
I ordered out and got a big fat Hamburger Steak with sauteed veggies (squash, zucchini, broccoli & cauliflower). It included carrots too, but I just picked those out:
Like I said, I made two meals out of that as well, for four smaller meals that day. And also had the other half of my ChocZero Dipping Cup Candy that night too. ♥

How To Get Net Carbs In MyFitnessPal (Free!)

We have coupon codes for both Know Foods and ChocZero:
Know Foods: use code IKNOWBETTER to save 20% on $50+
ChocZero: use code TravelingLowCarb to save 10% on any of their products, no minimum order.
If you have Amazon Prime and prefer to order things from Amazon, you can find Know Cookies on Amazon, and ChocoZero Dipping Cups on Amazon too. Note: the discount codes above DO NOT work on Amazon.
Know Foods uses Allulose as the sweetener, which causes a lot of confusion…
They are required to label allulose AS sugar, but it is NOT sugar. 28 grams of allulose = 2 carbs. I explained that in the video below, along with which Know Foods products I recommend, which I don’t recommend – and why. 😉
Also read this article about Allulose to understand it better.
It actually has some interesting health benefits!
I’m having another Know cookie for breakfast this morning, but chocolate chip this time. 🙂 They’re SO good, and such an easy grab & go low carb meal replacement.
Then I’m going to finish the beautiful ribeye I had last night when I went out to dinner with Aaron. That thing was HUGE, lol…
I still want to make the low carb pasta dish because I’m thinking it will be really good with the Italian Herb Style sausage I tried last week.
And I’m anxious to test out that cookie/candy recipe with the Know Thins – because I’m SURE that’s going to make an amazing treat! ♥
Work has been crazy busy lately, and I still want to make time for my “real life” (my beautiful great dane Slim, my relationship with Aaron, hiking & exercise too of course) so finding time to “play” in the kitchen has been tough this week. 😛
Trying new low carb foods is fun! Until it’s not…
I do love trying new things, because it really helps you mix things up and avoid “food boredom” which is common on a low carb diet. Well, I love it and it’s all fun… until it’s NOT (like that pizza, lol).
That’s what I love most about services like Keto Krate and Keto Delivered, by the way. It saves me the trouble of hunting down new low carb food ideas – they’re just delivered right to your door.
It’s like a big birthday surprise every month. 🙂 I love that! It’s how I’ve discovered lots of low carb foods that became staples, and awesome additions to my lifestyle.
It’s also such a nice way to REWARD yourself.
I’m trying them out next (Keto Delivered) so stay tuned for my review on that as well. You can learn more about them here:
How are things going with you?
I would LOVE to hear anything new that YOU have tried lately. What are your favorite low carb foods or products, or how do you mix things up so you don’t get bored eating low carb?

Best,
Lynn Terry,
aka @LowCarbTraveler
p.s. If someone you love is stumped about what to get you for Christmas, or for your next birthday, you should tell them a keto delivery box, some ChocZero dipping cups, or a big box full of low carb cookies. 😉 Talk about a GREAT gift you can ENJOY, and an awesome way to support your health goals!
Of course, I’m big on gifting myself. 😀 haha.
Speaking of, it’s getting to be that time of year – we should work on a “Low Carb Gift Guide” for fun creative gift ideas for low carb friends & family.
I’ll start the discussion on Facebook and gather ideas and share that with you as soon as I get a list together. 😉 *cheers*

Do you warm up the creme cheese with the cookie or separate. ?
Lynn Terry says
Hi Gina π
This time I warmed them up together, since I was warming up the cookie anyway. But otherwise I would warm up the cream cheese by itself, if I were going to dip berries & pecans in it for example.

Thank you so very much for your honesty in reviewing Know products. I ordered the cookies and waffles but i wish i had ordered to get the wraps. My cookies are slow in getting to me as well. I cannot wait to get my order
Lyn. I use SF jam on my waffles instead of syrup. It is good too. I am not a big fan of syrup. I rather have a nice blackberry or blueberry sf jam on my waffles.
I love that these products are made with super foods
These products will change my lc life for sure. I am soooooo excited about these products
YOU ARE THE BEST. LYN

Thanks again for the tips and reviews
Oh can you send me the link for the smart cakes. Your honesty in your reviews is great. I def cannot afford to waste my money on not so good products. TY. Gina
Lynn Terry says
I agree, it’s SO nice to have low carb replacements that actually taste GREAT. That makes it MUCH easier to stay on plan. π
Here’s the link for the smart cakes: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/16996/gluten-free-low-carb-cake/ I love that they are zero carb!
Lynn Terry says
p.s. I do NOT enjoy reviewing yucky low carb foods (lol) but I wasted a lot of money on bad products in the beginning too, so I love helping other people avoid that. Because some of it is expensive, and a lot of what I bought (or even recipes I tried) went in the trash. π

I LOVE the Real Good pizzas. I pair a personal size with a side salad and it is delicious and filling. I have a freezer full of these pizzas, they are great.
Lynn Terry says
I have one more to try, so I’m going to give it another shot before I write my review. π There are several others that told me they really like them as well!
Marti says
We both like them; have discovered they work best microwaved (?!?!) and then crust well browned in a skillet. Even tasty cold from the fridge.
Really was not impressed when we baked them in the regular oven, tho…..
Lynn Terry says
I tried the skillet trick. π I just cannot like the Real Good Foods low carb pizzas. π Did you see my review? It’s at: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/19366/real-good-food-pizza-review/
Dalene says
Thank you so much for your blog. I have learned more from you than any other keto blog. I especially like your information about eating out. We eat out a lot as we are retired and travel. Again, thank you so much.
Lynn Terry says
I’m so glad it’s helpful, Dalene – and thank you!! π

I tried the Know crackers. They were wonderful. They were really good with peanut butter. The Know marshmallows were worse than horrible. I wanted to make a Smore with them. Yuck! There is a brand of low carb marshmallow sold on Netrition that is very good. My husband loved the waffles smothered with butter and sugar free syrup.
Lynn Terry says
Aaron loved the waffles too. π They were too high in carbs for my taste. But I’m carb stingy, lol.
The crackers (thins) are GREAT, I agree!! I haven’t tried the marshmallows, but I never really liked marshmallows before – so that didn’t appeal to me to even try. I’ve heard mixed reviews on those.
So far my favorite products are the cookies and thins, and I do like the wraps too.
Virginia Thompson says
Canβt thank you enough for your reviews on low carb food! Because of your reviews I have ordered from KNOW and the choc zero cups…canβt wait until they come. Was wondering if you had ever made your own mayo…one egg and a cup of olive oil or avacado oil. I like to add a squeeze of lemon and salt and pepper. Itβs nice to have that option when you are out of mayo. I do find that you need to use a good quality hand stick blender to mix it up. Have you ever read the ingredients in mayo? Soybean oil…yuck! Thanks again!
Lynn Terry says
Oh wow Virginia – that seems simple enough! π I haven’t ever tried that, but I may next time I’m out of mayo. Thank you!!
The choczero cups are SOOO good! I’m hooked on those, and really love the things I’ve discovered from Know Foods lately too. It’s nice to have GOOD low carb options.
I’m really glad you’re enjoying the reviews. π I have tons of new things to review so stay tuned… I can’t wait to try Dee’s newest mixes! Here’s the last batch of mixes I tried from her line: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/18963/new-low-carb-desserts/ They’re always so good, and fun to work with!
Nicole Deckard says
Hi Lynn,
I really appreciate the honest reviews and always look forward to hearing your feedback. I look forward to trying the cookie. Keep smilin’!
Nicole
Lynn Terry says
Thank you, Nicole π π Did you try that cookie yet?! π
