My Low Carb Meals Yesterday
Yesterday I had sausage & eggs from McDonald’s for both breakfast and lunch.
I shared that in my last low carb food diary, that I ordered 4 sausage patties and 4 round eggs from McDonald’s while I was out – which made 2 meals.
For dinner I just made cheesy eggs at home: 3 eggs scrambled in real butter with colby jack cheese. Quick & easy! 🙂
Then I had CHOCOLATE last night. Lots of delicious, rich creamy low carb chocolate -lol, YUM! You can see that in my food diary below…

Keto/Macros Discussion
Every time I eat at McDonald’s it causes a bit of a stir. This week was no different, of course.:) But the comment I got on Instagram this time brought up a topic I hear A LOT in the low carb / keto communities:
As I said in my reply above, there seem to be some misunderstandings of how “keto” is defined. Nothing in a standard definition of the ketogenic diet has anything to do with: organic, clean eating, grass fed, etc.
Those things are simply preferences. Period.
The standard defintion of a ketogenic low carb diet is: “very low carb, very high fat, moderate protein” – or: 20 net carbs max, 70% fat minimum, 25% protein max. Which is exactly what you see in my food diary above. 😉
People often ask the difference between low carb and keto. Low carb can have some variations – some people consider “under 100 carbs a day” to be low carb, and it IS lower carb than a typical diet.
Keto is VERY low carb and also HIGH fat (ideally healthy fats). It is the same as Phase One of the Atkins Diet pretty much.
I hope that clears things up a bit.
If you have any questions about it… just ask! 😉
I cannot wait to tell you all about my newest ChocZero creations! I made a white chocolate raspberry truffle and it was only TWO net carbs! I made two other low carb candies too, and they were all three delicious. 🙂
I’ll share the pictures & details in my next post – so stay tuned for that. I’m having SO much fun with ChocZero. Their dipping cups are the best invention ever!!
How are things going with you?
I would love to hear any challenges your facing, favorite low carb foods or meals you’ve discovered, any questions you have – and just how you’re doing even!

Well, I’m stuck in traffic and haven’t eaten yet today, so when I saw the picture of the white chocolate raspberry candy I finally placed my order to try the dipping cups! Lol. I’ve been debating as to whether or not to try and make it through the holidays without sweet treats but now I don’t have to! Can’t wait to try them.

I was curious if you have ever tried the “Real Good” pizzas?
Pizza is one thing I have REALLY been missing, but these certainly hit the spot for me! They are SO delicious! I think this would be a great product for you to highlight on the blog, especially for all those out there missing their pizza like I was.

Hi Lindsey π I’m getting them in this week to review actually! I can’t wait to try them. I’ve been hearing about them all over the web. π
