My Low Carb Meals Yesterday…
Yesterday was a very full Monday for me, and it started early and ended late. 😛 I grabbed a quick bite to eat breakfast at my desk so I could dig right in:
I have been finding a new version of Philadelphia cream cheese that has the same macros as their Kosher version, and both are MUCh lower in carbs than the traditional philly cream cheese. The new one is grey & blue like the Kosher box, but says “Just 5 ingredients” on the package (instead of “Kosher”).
I had 1.55 ounces of cream cheese, 1 tbsp of peanut butter and 60 grams (1/2 cup) of pecan halves – which I dipped in the cream cheese & peanut butter. 🙂
I snacked on that all morning while I was working, then for lunch I made a BIG plate of cheesy eggs.
It’s 4 eggs scrambled in a full TBSP of real butter with about 2 ounces of colby jack cheese (cubed off the block):
That made two meals for me. 😉
I ate the eggs later in the day and spread it out over two meals, but I got hungry again late last night – and decided to make a quick “sweet & salty” snack…
♥ That NutiLight Sugar Free Hazelnut Milk Chocolate Spread is delicious! ♥
Peanut Butter & chocolate is always a winning combo. 🙂 I dipped the salted almonds in it and savored every single crunchy/creamy bite!
I also had 5 coffees each with Coffee-Mate Sugar Free Powdered Hazelnut Creamer plus 72 ounces of water…
My MyFitnessPal Food Diary for Monday:
I thought about ordering take-out or delivery yesterday, but I was busy all day so just kept it simple and made it through the day with what I had on hand. Things I could grab & eat without having to cook, that is. 😉
My Keto Krate box will arrive today, and I cannot wait to see what all is in it! It seems some of you get yours earlier than I do, so no spoilers please! 🙂 haha…
I love the “big surprise!” every month.:)
The only thing I know for SURE that will be in the box is the new mix from Dee’s. I’ll take some pictures when I get my box this afternoon and give you the FULL scoop.:)
I have another full day ahead of me, so I better get back to work… wishing you a happy, healthy low carb day full of delicious foods & smart choices! *cheers*

Hi Kathy π I originally got mine in a Keto Krate box actually, and found it online at http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/spread (Netrition). I’m not sure if they sell it in stores? I haven’t seen it anywhere yet…

I have been doing much better this time around. Down 6.5 lbs in a few weeks and feeling better. Some days I am starving! haha But I have started menopause (yay *sarcasm) so its no surprise. Thanks for the great posts and inspiration!
Lynn Terry says
That’s great progress, Holly! I’m glad to hear it’s going smoother this time around. π What do you think is causing the hunger? Are you eating enough, or getting enough fat (70% or more)? Or do you also watch calories? Obviously I don’t (watch calories), given my macros in this post. π

For some reason everything with erytritol is tasting horrible this week. Even my beloved smart cakes!! Not sure why.
What is in the Nuti Light spread?? Any sweeteners??
Lynn Terry says
Yes, this one has stevia and Erythritol and it does have a slight aftertaste. The only one I know of that does NOT have an aftertaste is the one from KZ Clean Eating I got in my Keto Krate last month. It’s called Nougat Creme and there’s a picture of it here: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/18847/september-keto-krate-7/ That one has NO aftertaste and is delicious! But I’m saving it to make the cheesecake recipe. π You can’t get it on Netrition or Amazon yet, only on the website and it’s not cheap. π But definitely GOOD!

p.s. I go through phases like that too where my tastebuds totally REJECT anything with sweetener in it, even a sip of diet coke tastes like poison. I wonder what causes those phases?! I always think that’s the perfect time to “go black” with my coffee. One of these days… π lol

Down 8lbs so far! Finally!! Found chocolate powder coated almonds in the store that satisfy me when I want something sweet. Have a wedding this weekend, hoping to stay on track w low carb!
Lynn Terry says
Great, Patrice! π There’s no reason to blow it all at one event. Focus on the people, on the celebration, and on the reason for the get-together – instead of the food. That’s what I do. π If there’s a new mom, offer to hold the baby while she eats – for example. Engage in great conversations, catch up with people, meet new people, etc. Make it FUN!
And eat something before you go, so if all you do is nibble on a salad there socially you’ll still be fine – and have a fabulous time. π Enjoy!!
Patricia L. says
I love your suggestion of offering to hold a baby. As a Mom of an almost two year old (and 9 year old) I remember every time someone was kind enough to not eat with the rest of the group just to give me and my husband a chance to eat with two hands. Youβll be doing good to yourself by resisting the temping food but youβll bless some new Mother even more! 10 minutes without having to worry about your little one is like a week of peace in Mom years!

MyFitnessPal app doesn’t seem to have the net carb choice. Is this on the paid app?
