On Friday I ate low carb take-out all day, and on Saturday I ate at home all day.
Here’s a photo tour of both days, including my MyFitnessPal food diaries so you can see how I logged my meals – and how my macros came out…
My Low Carb Meals on Friday
I had “my usual” from McDonald’s for breakfast: 3 sausage patties and 3 round fried eggs (that’s exactly how I ask for it).
Their sausage is 1 carb per patty, and eggs are .4 carbs each (1.2 carbs for three), for a total of 4 carbs for this meal:
For lunch I had a Roast Chicken Bites Salad from Bojangles’ with one packet of ranch, which comes to a whopping 16 net carbs. 😯
I added 2 servings of Coconut Oil & Himalayan Salt Pili Nuts to it, put the lid back on and shook it all up together, and had about half of it for lunch – and the other half for dinner that evening.
I have a coupon code for the pili nuts: LOWCARBTRAVELER (all caps)

My Low Carb Meals on Saturday
On Saturday morning I got up and made my favorite LCHF meal, which I call “cereal.” 🙂 It’s 1/2 cup of pecan pieces, 1/4 cup Daisy brand cottage cheese and 4 small diced strawberries. (5 net carbs, 85% healthy fat)
I decided to cook, so about mid morning I put some beef tips in the slow cooker.
I added 1 cup of water, 8 ounces of fresh sliced mushrooms, some onion & garlic powder and salt – and let it cook for about 4 hours on high.
That turned out delicious. 🙂
And it was so easy!
Right before it got done I made my Low Carb Spinach Biscuits so I had two of those with my roast, then two more later topped with kosher cream cheese:
I made up a whole batch of spinach biscuits, and pattied them all out, but I only cooked 4 biscuits – and wrapped up the rest and put them in the refrigerator to bake fresh the next time I want some. 😉
